Does it work with my version of QuickBooks?
Yes — ReviewGenesis connects to QuickBooks Online via OAuth (read-only). We don't currently support QuickBooks Desktop. If you're on Desktop, you can still add customers manually or upload a CSV.
How long until I see more reviews?
Most contractors see their first new reviews within a week of going live. Meaningful local-pack ranking changes usually take 60–90 days — it takes that long for Google to weigh the fresh review signal.
What if a customer doesn't have SMS?
Customers without a phone number are simply skipped — no error, no dead send. If you collect email too, we can add email fallback on request. SMS is the default because it converts 4× better.
Can I customize the review request message?
Yes — every business has its own template with placeholders for customer first name, company, and the review link. Edit it from Settings → Templates anytime. We automatically append STOP/HELP language for compliance.
Will this hurt my Google rating if I get a bad review?
We don't filter reviews — that would violate Google's policies and put your Business Profile at risk. What we do instead: every review request is a two-way SMS. The link in the message goes to your public Google review page. If a customer had a bad experience, they can reply to the text and you'll see it in your dashboard first — giving you a chance to fix it before it shows up publicly.
